The Process: The bus is dropped off at our Line-X shop. Rubber mats in the bottom of each compartment are removed, along with the adhesive product holding them in place. All hardware in the application area is removed, including the compartment lighting. Sensitive areas, such as the electrical fuse panels, are wire-taped and masked off to ensure functionality when spraying is completed. Wire tape is applied to the outside edges with the utmost attention to detail, as these are the edges first seen on the finished product. The outside area is masked off and protected. LINE-X XS-100 is then applied. If the unit is not new, LINE-X XS-100 is applied following sandblast and priming. Unit is then unmasked, and hardware and accessories are reinstalled.

The Challenge: The client requires storage compartments which will be maintenance-free, impact resistant, anti-skid, and anti-static.
Also, all interior seams of the compartments need to be watertight. Unfortunately the factory applied paint will certainly chip, and will not provide the qualities sought.
